We align our tikanga with Te Āti Awa and are committed to honouring this relationship in all aspects of kura life. We are working hard to grow a team that actively supports our Māori tauira and sustains the incredible kaupapa and initiatives developed over recent years. - Providing one-on-one support where needed and if indicated by Māori team staff, including with learning, engagement and behaviour.
- Helping to uphold and strengthen the connection between tauira, their whānau, and our kura.
- A sound understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and some te reo Māori.
- A warm and empathetic nature, strong interpersonal skills, and confidence with administration and IT systems.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to upholding the mana of our ākonga Māori.
This is a permanent, part-time position, 20 hours pw term time only, beginning in Term 3, 2025. Days of work must include Monday (until 6 pm to support and supervise kapa haka) and Thursday. Other days are negotiable with a degree of flexibility to support activities.
