Library Manager
Wellington Girls’ College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Librarian to lead our innovative and creative library team. The library is an integral part of WGC and is valued by the whole school community. This full time position will see you working closely with staff and students in a progressive and inclusive environment.
The Library Manager will ensure that the library plays a full role in the learning life of the school and is also responsible for the management of the school archive.
We require someone who has:
- A passion for working with young adults
- Extensive experience in the library and information sector
- Ability to design and deliver information literacy training
- A sound knowledge of young adult fiction
- Ability to lead, motivate and energise teams
- Ability to be flexible and proactive
- Enthusiastic and committed; able to identify and solve problems and be innovative
- Willing to be fully involved in the life of the school
- Good communicator and good financial management skills
- Degree in library and/or information studies
The remuneration will be based on the Support Staff Collective Agreement (librarian work matrix) Grade C.
